The Classes of 2023 and 24!!
The Summer term has been a busy time preparing to welcome our new Year 7 cohort. Over 150 students are joining The Burgate in Year 7 and to get ready they have taken part in Harry Potter themed afternoons on their Induction Days. Students have met their new classmates and tutors for the next academic year as well as receiving a visit from Mr Clemson or Miss Mann to their primary school. We are all very excited about September!
Fantastic Show for Creative Arts Evening
The Creative Arts Evening last night was a fantastic success with Art, Photography, Food and Film mingling with Drama, Choral Recitals, Musical Ensembles and a show stopping Fashion Show.
Sixth Form Leavers Ball
On Thursday 28th June The Burgate Sixth Form celebrated the end of the examination season with a glittering Leavers Ball held at the prestigious Hallmark Hotel in Bournemouth. The event began at 7pm with a formal drinks in the lobby before students made their way into the ballroom for a gala dinner.
Success at the Hampshire Youth Games
48 schools entered the Hampshire track knock out competition this year. Only 8 would make it through to the final at Aldershot military stadium as part of the 2018 Hampshire Youth Games. I’m pleased to say that the Burgate U15 Boys team managed just that and travelled up to Aldershot on Friday 22 June after two good performances: in the qualifying round and then again in the semi-final. We arrived in good form and with a strong team so were hopeful of doing well.

Mr Watling's Triathlon
As some of you will know Burgate music teacher Mr Watling is currently training for the London Triathlon. This event will be taking place on the 4th of August and he will be doing it for charity.
Helping to keep Hampshire's Young People Safe
We are pleased to announce we have joined forces with twelve other schools and colleges across the New Forest to form a new alliance aimed at keeping students safe from harm.

Students from Art, Photography, Media and Textiles traveled to Arts University Bournemouth on Friday to see the final Degree Show of this year's cohort of students.
