Teaching Roles

Are you interested in a career teaching?
Our school has links with several teacher training institutions that provide opportunities for trainee teachers. These offer options through a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) working with Southampton and Portsmouth Universities,
or employment-based training through Schools Direct with Bitterne Park and Ringwood Teaching Alliances.

Finance and Admin Assistant
We are looking for an organised, efficient and proactive Finance and Admin Assistant to join our busy and friendly admin team supporting the smooth running of the school’s finance office. In this varied position, you will be assisting with the day to day functions of the finance department and interacting with a wide range of school staff. You will also be supporting our Data and Software Administrator and Logistics Manager with some functions of their roles.

· This is a permanent, part-time post.
· 23.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday/46.50 weeks a year
· Salary: Scale 3 - Scale 4 (£24,790 - £27,269 FTE)

Catering Assistant (Temporary)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our busy, fast paced catering team working Monday to Friday, term time, during school hours.
Working under the direction of the Catering Manager, you will be preparing, cooking and serving food, snacks, hot and cold beverages to students and staff including manning the tills to ensure the efficient throughput of students and staff during the busy break and lunch periods. In addition, you will support with preparing the dining area for service and carry out cleaning duties whilst maintaining high quality standards of health, hygiene and safety and adherence to allergen regulations and other food standards practices.
It’s a rewarding job, and we’ll give you all the training you need to succeed. You’ll need to enjoy being part of a team and be able to cope in a busy environment. If you have experience of working in a catering environment that would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
If you are a team player with a flexible approach and a positive, can-do attitude, we would be delighted to hear from you.
